On June 18, City Hall reopens its doors after a thorough renovation and restoration, 455 years after it first opened. The works have been extensive and have gone further than the mere restoration of the building’s authentic elements. The City Hall will be an open house for both Antwerp residents and visitors.

Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp 

After a thorough renovation and expansion, the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp (KMSKA) will once again open its doors to the public on 24 September 2022

Thanks to this renovation, the largest museum in Flanders can once again assume its role among Europe’s top art museums. The collection comprises no fewer than 8,400 objects, 650 of which will be given a place in the museum.

Exhibition rooms of DIVA
Museum for diamonds, jewellery and silver 

The exhibition rooms of DIVA, the museum for diamonds, jewellery and silver, will be closed in March for renovation works. Pending the reopening on 8 December 2022, the collection will move to a temporary exhibition area on the Grote Markt. The reading room, garden, studios and workshops will remain accessible during the works.

Rubens House

With 200,000 visitors per year from more than 30 different countries, the Rubens House is an absolute top attraction in Antwerp. In the 75 years of the museum's existence, the pressure on the house and garden has increased. With an extensive master plan, the infrastructure will be improved in the coming years. The Rubens House will be open until 8 January 2023. In 2027, 450 years after the birth of Rubens, the museum will welcome the public again.

MoMu
Fashion Museum 

The Fashion Museum will temporarily close its doors again at the end of January 2022 in order to carry out structural adjustments to the climate control system in the depots and exhibition rooms. MoMu Shop, MoMu Café by Graanmarkt 13 and the museum library will remain open. The reopening is scheduled for 30 September 2022.
